    Up for bids is a postwar M1 Garand web sling, which is stamped MRT MAY 1952.  This sling is in very good condition; the cotton web has no rips, tears, discolorations, or rust stains.  Here are the details:
    Item: M1 Garand web sling
    Sling markings: MRT MAY 1952
    Condition: Very good (no rips, tears, or rust stains), two small dark stains
    Color: Medium olive green
    Sling tip finish: Correct parkerized
    Sling keeper: Correct, one heavy rib, parkerized
    Sling buckle: Correct, narrow, parkerized
    Sling clip: Correct, parkerized
    Metal finish: No rust or pitting
    Other markings: None
    This sling is seen some honest use, but it is still a nice USGI sling.  The parkerizing on the clip, buckle, and keeper metal is nice, with no rust or pitting.  Put this sling on your Springfield Armory, HRA, or IHC M1 rifle!
