Fern Perreault (born March 31, 1927 in Chamby, Quebec) played three games in the NHL with the New York Rangers. He played junior hockey with the Montreal National 1944 to 1946.  In 1946-47 he turned pro with the New York Rovers, a Rangers farm team. Perreault continued in the Rangers' system until 1951, playing three games with them, scoring no points.  In 1951 he was traded to the Cleveland barons of the AHL.  In mid-season 1951-52 he was sent to the Montreal Royals of the QSHL.  Perreault spent the remainder of his career in the QSHL and its successor leagues the QHL and the EPHL, until his retirement in 1960.
I've had this stick for at least 20 years, I used to collect Montreal Canadiens memorabilia and I got this stick through Classic Auctions out of Montreal.  Heres the sad part of this stick ... it was signed by all of the Montreal Canadiens in about 1958 if I remember, all in pen.  Everyone signed it .. Rocket Richard, Jacques Plante, Toe Blake, Jean Beliveau and a bunch of others.  Unfortunately, it was kept lying around unprotected in different places and the signatures have pretty much faded away.  You can still see where players signed it but cant make out the names anymore.  I'm not selling it as an autographed stick, but maybe if it was varnished some of the signatures might be brought out.  Perreault's name was written as "Perro" on the shaft, apparently the equipment guy couldn't spell his name correctly and this was easier for him.
Perreault is still alive btw ... 94 years young.
