    This is a Fabulous Asian Antique Carved Cinnabar Necklace with a Vermeil clasp (sterling silver covered in 14 k gold)! This very well could possibly be solid gold, but since I'm not positive I'm calling this Vermeil! The clasp is also very beautiful on it's own-see pictures with very elaborate decoration! There might be a lesser metal inclusion to create the decorative effect on top of the clasp-as I am feeling a slight magnetic pull, but only from the decorative side. The entire necklace is hand-knotted! This takes much longer to create & extends the life of the piece drastically! All of the finest pieces are hand-knotted! This necklace is approximately 25 inches in length! Each bead is about 1/2 inch with a total of 35 beads! Each bead is exquisitely carved in deep relief with beautiful flowers!
