Great Estate Sale Find
Pretty little primitive doll.
Tin or Metal head on a kidskin leather and cloth body.
Her head is marked "5 Germany" on front plate
and "Minerva" on back
She is sewn onto the kidskin body that has a sticker on the front
".... odora Germany" top left portion of sticker is missing.
She is wearing a pink dress and bonnet. A muslin slip underneath. Seems that is partially sewn on doll and I didn't want to do damage trying to remove it.
Her feet have holes in the toes. I photographed, but for shipping to save the saw dust stuffing I have put scotch tape over the holes.
She measures just under 13 inches tall.
There is wear on this old doll, but she has lots of personality. So sweet.
