  • Condition: Condition is excellent. I believe the material to be porcelain. Date on the side is 1988 (it's difficult to read, but that's what it appears by my eyes). See the 7th & 8th photo for artist's name and date appearing on the side of the sculpture. The sculpture is approximately: 9 3/8 inches in height, 5 1/2 inches deep, and 5 inches wide. It has a gold / Bronze finish applied. The finish is painted, and it is excellent. The bottom of the sculpture has a tag reading: Hansen Classics, Sandy, Utah. I have examined this sculpture up very close. There are no chips, cracks, or any missing finish. I have also ran my hand on all of the surfaces searching for any rough edges or chips. There are none. The base is walnut wood, the finish is a medium color (not light or very dark). I'm certain this sculpture is cast. I have provided many photos showing every side of this sculpture. The 9th photo is of the back of the eagle's head.

    Description

    This eagle is a wonderful representation of the universal  symbol of strength, dignity, and longevity.  There are so many nations that use the eagle's form  as a representation of their nation.  Please take a look at all of the very fine details within this piece. The eyes and feathers, as well as the eagle's body pose evokes a sense of movement.  It's as if he waiting for his moment to let the updraft lift him from his perch. This sculpture is in lovely conditon.  Please zoom and and view all of the photos.  As stated above, I found no chips cracks or missing finish. It's far better in person than in the photos. Although it appears to be metal, it is a cast sculpture.  I believe the material to be porcelain.  The finish is a gold bronze.  It's uinque and beautiful.  The base is walnut with four small pads to protect any desk or table that this sculpture may rest upon.
