This is a kit for converting your existing pergola into a solid roof structure. This kit will cover a structure up to 16' x 20' in size.
The kit includes commercial quality components that can be installed in a day. You can create a whole new living space that can be used year round.
Included are:
16' x 20' of EPDM Commercial rubber roof membrane
Adhesive for bonding the EPDM membrane to 3/4" plywood (the plywood is not included- it's cheaper for you to buy it locally!)
Aluminum drip edge for all 4 sides at the edges.
Self-adhesive sealing membrane for the drip edge.
Commercial grade sealant for continuous bead at perimeter for a complete seal
Fasteners for the drip edge.
Roller for applying the EPDM adhesive.
Complete, step by step instructions with detailed drawings and pictures to get the project done right.
Tips for sloping your structure to get the watershed where you want it.
Drawing details and images showing how to add a gutter to your pergola that can still look great.

You will need to purchase some plywood locally, we will show you how to calculate how much you need depending on your size and we will show you in the instructions, how to install this and more.
NOTE: This is a project for a competent DIY'r, Handyman or Carpenter. This can be done in a day or less of focused work by 2 of these people. This is not a job for slackers. You will need to have a local building official, building professional or engineer confirm that your structure can handle the new loads involved in adding a solid roof. (This is particularly true in the northern part of the US where snow loads are considerable).
!!!!!!NOTE: This kit will not work with Vinyl Pergolas!!!!!
Materials
you will need that are not included in the kit: Cedar or composite shims, 3/4 plywood, ring shank nails for fastening the plywood to your rafters, paint or stain for the underside of the plywood that you will see, 2x4 blocking for some areas where the plywood seams are visible.
