    Description

    Southern Plains-style dance stick (a.k.a. tail stick).
    20” lathe-turned hardwood dance stick (called by some "tail stick") with a 4” section of gourd stitch beadwork (turquoise and yellow background colors) expertly done in 11/0 cut beads.  White buckskin wrist strap with crow beads accent.
    Although the craftsperson is

    a member of an American Indian tribe or nation, he has participated in American Indian powwows and ceremonial dances for 50+ years.
