Description
You are viewing a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mine Detector C set from 1954 - Korean War Vintage. This set appears to be complete other than the manual and batteries. This includes an inspection record from a 1957 audit and spare tubes for the electronics package. There is no way to know if this works without a battery set, but for 70 year old vintage electronics I would not recommend using it. Modern metal detectors are probably better. This is a historical collectors item originally designed for finding portable metallic AP-AT mines. The set was built by the Microtone Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota in October of 1954 per markings on it.
This is in good condition with just a little musty smell that could be aired out with a little time. This is a heavy set, but comes with a canvas strap on backpack rig that could be displayed on an anchored mannequin. Complete set with case.
