Vintage 1950s korean war fighter pilots US Navy Helmet H3-H4 Nice!. Up for sale is a vintage 1950s Korean War US. Fighter pilots helmet with microphone and inside warm weather liner. The helmet looks to be either H-3 or H-4 model. This was from the Stingers fighter pilot squadron VH-113. I purchased this Korean helmet from a retired US Navy officer named Douglas Orahood he is 83 years old now but was a fighter pilot in the US Navy in the 1950s 60s. I purchased his collection last week from him. He had a lot of really nice items I have listed other items also on eBay. The Korean helmet is authentic and original looks to have been totally restored with original paint and hand painted decals of the stingers squadron with beehive painted on both sides of the helmet also has the original US Navy wings logo on the front of helmet. Helmet comes with inside liner marked original microphone. WWII fighter goggles will come with styrofoam head mannequin. Douglas flew many different fighter planes and also flew in the stingers squadron on a aircraft carrier that’s why he treasured this helmet. He was on the USS Antietam aircraft carrier. I’m selling this vintage 1950s Korean fighter pilots helmet in as is condition so please view pictures carefully because it’s part of my description message me with any questions you have before purchasing this helmet. I’m definitely no expert on all this stuff but I’m trying my best to describe everything if you need more pictures or information text me and will help with any questions. This will make for a great display piece for any navy fighter pilot that collects items from the Korean War or just likes vintage US navy fighter pilots helmets.
