VINTAGE ANTIQUE ASIAN RATTAN WICKER TEA CADDY BASKET
When tea was introduced from Asia to Europe, it was extremely expensive.  It was kept under lock and key in what was called a "Tea Caddy".
Tea Caddies were made of wood, porcelain, pewter, brass, copper, silver, wicker baskets. etc.
The rattan wicker is tightly woven and structured.  Lovely patina on brass and basket.
The latch and one of the handles are missing.  I am selling it "AS IS".
The hinges are in good condition.
It is approx. 8 1/4 inches long, 5 3/4 inches wide and 5 3/4 inches tall.

I have two more tea caddies on eBay. They are in better condition.
