Vintage Imperial Glass Purple Amethyst Luster/Open Rose Iridescent Jar w/Lid EXC

This vintage Imperial Glass Ohio two handled jar with lid is in excellent condition, showing no damage or wear, and the inside is clean. It is in the Lustre or Open Rose pattern, in purple amethyst. The patterns are very similar, and at one time both were called American Beauty Roses. The jar can be either a large lidded sugar bowl, or a spooner. The mark on the bottom was used between 1951 and 1972. It measures 4-3/4" tall to rim, 6-1/4" with lid, 6-1/2" across the handles, and weighs almost 2 pounds.
